According to the review by Hannah (2021), the Yeedi Vac Station is a reliable robot vacuum with the ability to self-empty its bin into the charging station. With the Yeedi application, the process to set up the robot was made plain and easy. Change of cleaning schedules and locating the robot can be done through the application. Some factors of the Yeedi Vac that outdo its competitors are its three levels of suction power (standard (600Pa), max (1,500Pa), and max+ (3,000 Pa)) and the function for mopping the floor.

Unfortunately, the Yeedi vacuum robot has a strong disadvantage when it comes to navigational issues. Because Visual SLAM navigation was integrated into the Yeedi vacuum robot (Hannah, 2021), customers need to take up precautions to prevent damage to their properties.

As stated by Natalie (2021), the Yeedi vacuum robot has the tendency to drag small objects around and bump into things often as it uses a camera as its navigation sensor. Through the webpage by Mathsworks (n.d.), we understand that visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) uses images acquired from a camera to implement graph-based optimization. Mathsworks (n.d.) also mentioned that LiDAR SLAM (Light detection and ranging) proves to be more effective for map construction through the use of laser sensors which provides superior precision distance measurements as compared to a camera sensor.
