According to the review by Cowton (2021), the Yeedi Vac Station is a reliable robot vacuum with the ability to self-empty its bin into the charging station. The Yeedi application made setting up the robot plain and easy. Change of cleaning schedules and locating the robot can be done through the application. The first few cleaning cycles automatically map out the house floor plan. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, the robot returns to the charging station where the station empties the robot’s dustbin into its dust bag. Some factors of the Yeedi Vac that outdo its competitors are its three levels of suction power (standard (600Pa), max (1,500Pa), and max+ (3,000 Pa) and the function for mopping the floor. Unfortunately, the Yeedi Vac Station robot is inferior compared to its competitors because it uses visual-SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) for its navigation system together and its flaw in design in when it comes to vacuum efficiency and mopping (Cowton, 2021).

An example is why visual-SLAM is a bad navigation system is because visual-SLAM uses a camera as its only sensor, making it hard to define distance (Mathworks, n.d.). This flaw require customers to take precautions to prevent damage to their household items. As Red (2021) stated, the Yeedi vacuum robot tends to drag small objects around and bump hard into things. A solution to this is to use LiDAR (Light detection and ranging) SLAM instead. LiDAR uses laser sensors, proving to be more effective in providing precise distance measurements than a camera sensor (Mathworks, n.d.). The Samsung Jetbot AI+ is one robot vaccum that uses LiDAR-SLAM to navigate. By integrating LiDAR with 3D object recognition with AI, the Samsung Jetbot AI+ is capable to provide an accurate map of the house and perform object recognition to avoid household items (Samsung, n.d.).

Despite the strong suction power of the Yeedi Vac robot, the Samsung Jetbot AI+ does it better when both are compared on a carpeted surface. The function to optimize its suction power up to 30AW (1,560Pa) by detecting the type of platform and amount of dust on the platform (Samsung, n.d.) is one of the factors that outperforms the Yeedi Vac robot. Another factor is the high-efficiency brush roller of the Samsung Jetbot AI+. The unique design of the anti-static fibers enables greater contact with the surface. Simultaneously, self-cleaning extractors on the brush roller grind up hair to minimize tangle around the brush.

Regrettably, the Samsung Jetbot AI+ does not feature a mopping function like the Yeedi Vac. However, having the advantage of mopping causes limitations to the Yeedi Vac. The diameter of the Yeedi Vac significantly increases when the water tank is attached to it. This design flaw causes misalignment to the Yeedi Vac station after a mopping session, affecting the self-emptying function and preventing battery recharge. Furthermore, the Yeedi Vac has the potential to smear its damp mop across the carpet due to the lack of object recognition function.

It would be ideal if the Samsung Jetbot AI+ had a smaller body design to slip under furniture and hard-to-reach corners. Adopting the mopping feature from the Yeedi Vac robot can be another improvement to it. Regardless, the Samsung Jetbot AI+ is the superior option between the two.
